THEY SAID IT
SEU Head Coach
J.J. Riehl on the loss to UAFS …
"A tough one tonight. We were great in the first half, really locked in, really executed the scout. That last play there, Haley [Joly] got her foot stepped on, and I think her injury really sucked some of the wind out of our sails. I think we were really flat out of the locker room and I could tell. You kind of have a feeling with your kids and your team. We challenged them in the huddle right before they went out and we told them they were flat. I mean, it's one of those things. It's tough. I think we felt sorry for ourselves at some moments, and we let the score dictate what we were going to do in the present moment that we were in. But, the kids got out of that moment, and I thought we finished pretty strong. That game could have gotten really, really out of control and ugly really quickly, so hats off to them for getting themselves back together, and fighting, and doing what we do and at least finishing it respectfully."
