THE RUNDOWN
LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 3 Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps continued their success at the Rip Griffin Center by beating St. Edward's 64-31 Thursday for their 44th consecutive home victory.

The Lady Chaps (16-1, 5-0) held SEU (9-9, 3-3) to a 21-percent shooting effort and led the Hilltoppers 34-7 at halftime. SEU put up a better fight in the second half and outscored LCU 16-11 in the third quarter. However, LCU scored 11 unanswered to open the fourth quarter to keep the Hilltoppers from chipping at the lead further.

LCU's Bobbi Chitsey scored 15 points off the bench and Caitlyn Cunyus scored 15 points on 5-of-5 shooting from the floor to lead the home team. LEXI CUNNINGHAM had 11 points in the loss for St. Edward's.

HIGHLIGHTS
• LEXI CUNNINGHAM surpassed 100 career field goals Thursday with four field goals on 11 attempts; she has 103 heading into the Hilltoppers' next game.
• Cunningham now has a dozen games in her career with double-digit points and seven this season.
• Hill grabbed a team-high five rebounds for SEU, and in the process, she passed 150 rebounds for her career (153).

STAT OF THE GAME I
351 – ABBY HOPPER surpassed the 350-career rebounds mark with four Thursday vs. LCU, giving her 351 for her career.

"Lubbock is a really good team. They make things very tough on you defensively with shooters around perimeter and then their inside game. I thought overall defensively we did an ok job. Bottom line you can't shoot and score with the efficiency we did and expect to have positive results. We've got to get tougher and more convicted."

St. Edward's is idle Saturday and returns to action Wednesday in San Antonio vs. St. Mary's at 5:30 p.m. in Heartland Conference play.
