THE RUNDOWN
DALLAS, Texas – No. 15 Dallas Baptist scored the first 12 points of the game, built a 31-11 lead by midway through the first half, and used that hot start to coast to a 91-77 win over St. Edward's Thursday night at the Burg Center.
DBU center Patrick Burke scored 28 points on 14-of-16 shooting, the Patriots (12-1, 3-0) shot 54.4 percent from the floor and limited SEU (11-4, 1-2) to 6-of-30 from 3-point range in the Heartland Conference win.
LANDON GOESLING, the conference's leading scorer, had 19 points and a season-high six rebounds in the losing effort for St. Edward's.
Thursday night's game marked the third game in the last four against ranked opponents for SEU; the Hilltoppers are 2-2 vs. NCAA Division II Top 25 teams after the loss to the Patriots.
HIGHLIGHTS

LANDON GOESLING led the Hilltoppers with 19 points, the seventh of which was the 500th point of his career. Goesling has scored in double figures in all 15 games this season and 23 times in his career.

SEAN WATKINS scored the 600th point of his career Thursday night with his first and finished the game with five.
• Watkins played in the 100th game of his career Thursday.

DORIAN LOPEZ scored 11 points and reached double figures for the 27th time in his career (13th this season).
