DUSTDEVILS NO MATCH FOR DOMINANT HILLTOPPERS

AUSTIN, Texas - St. Edward's Volleyball made quick work of Texas A&M International Thursday evening, winning in straight sets while not allowing more than 15 points in a single set. 

What started as a close set quickly got out of hand as the SEU offense became nearly unstoppable. ALEXA MCANDREW and KATE HENDRIX posted four kills each in the set while the Hilltoppers hit .231 to win 25-15.

Long rallies ruled set two early as the Hilltoppers were able to hold onto a slight advantage. A run midway through the set game SEU some breathing room and they closed the set on a big block from LAURA DOOCY and MADDIE MIKSCH, winning 25-13.

The domination continued into the third set as SEU built a seven point advantage, 15-8.The match was never in question as the St. Edward's attack got stronger and stronger, ending with a .417 attack percentage in the final set to win 25-13. 

McAndrew led with ten kills and a .267 attack percentage while MIKAYLA PARKER added eight kills on just ten attempts with no errors. EMILY TRAN and JULIA HARTLEY ran the offense well with 18 and 13 assists, respectively, while MORGAN BECKHAM led the defense with 15 digs. 

The Hilltoppers close their 2018 regular season on Saturday, November 3, taking on St. Mary's at noon.
