Box Score AUSTIN, Texas – St. Edward's continues to impress as they closed 2018 with a 116-57 win over Paul Quinn College Monday to improve to 12-1 on the year.
 
COREY SHERVILL kick-started the scoring for SEU with a three on the opening Hilltopper possession. Nine minutes into the game St. Edward's led by 14, 27-13, and then allowed just 12 points in the final 11 minutes to take a 60-25 advantage into the locker room at the break.
 
Despite having a comfortable lead the Hilltoppers never let off the gas, pushing the lead to 40 early in the second half and then finally leading by 50 with just over five minutes remaining in the contest.
 
Shervill led with 24 points as the Hilltoppers shot 55.6% from the floor and 41.5% from three-point range. AUGUST HAAS posted a double-double in the win with 14 points and 10 assists while DORIAN LOPEZ added 18 points. Corey McKendree led on the glass with nine rebounds as the Hilltoppers posted a +19 rebounding margin.
 
St. Edward's remains at home to face Daemen College out of New York on January 6 at noon.
