KINGSVILLE, Texas – Texas A&M-Kingsville (10-7) took an 11-2 win in five innings in game one and held on for a 3-2 win in game two Tuesday at Hubert Field, sweeping St. Edward's (0-13) in an in-region twinbill.

The Javelinas used a balanced offensive effort in game one with two RBIs apiece from Rachael Longoria, Haley Boyett, Alexi Gonzalez and Lauren Oatman. TAMK scored a run in every at bat including five in the first and four in the fourth.

KAROLINA RODRIGUEZ each had RBIs in the losing effort for SEU.

After Texas A&M-Kingsville jumped out with three runs in the first, SEU starter
OLIVIA BURDICK settled in and did not allow another run in the Javelinas' final five offensive innings. Needing three runs,
KAYLA APPLEBY delivered in the clutch with a two-out, two-run single in the top of the seventh to cut the lead to one, however, the rally would end there for the Hilltoppers.

OLIVIA BURDICK tossed her second complete game of the season, which gave her 10 for her career, the junior right hander allowed just two earned runs over six innings of work for one of her better outings of the season.
