Â
Courtney Barnhill led the charge for the Rambelles with three dingers on the day, and although finishing with just one strikeout, Bartlett improved to 21-2 in the circle this season relinquishing four hits and zero runs in six innings.

KATHRYN CONNELLY recorded his first collegiate career home run in the game one losing effort.
Â
Angelo State's Barnhill hit a pair of two-out homers in the first and third innings for a 2-0 lead, but Connelly responded with her first career solo shot in the fourth to put the Hilltoppers on the board. The Rambelles then put together a four-run fifth inning to go up 6-1, and although SEU would score another run in the seventh courtesy of an RBI sacrifice fly from
KAYLA APPLEBY, it was all they could muster up in the 6-2 loss.
Â
ASU kept their foot on the gas pedal in game two with a pair of RBI's from Danae Bina through four frames, and Barnhill's third solo shot of the evening in the fifth for a 3-0 advantage. The Rambelles added a run in the seventh but Nassy's RBI single spoiled the Belles shutout and the Hilltoppers juiced the bases in the seventh with one out. Kari Rodriguez trimmed the deficit to two runs with an RBI sacrifice fly, but Angelo ended the rally retiring the side and game at 4-2. Â
