AUSTIN, Texas – Two extra periods could not break the tie as Lubbock Christian and St. Edward's played 110 minutes to end locked at 0-0 in Heartland Conference play Saturday.
St. Edward's started both overtime periods strong, logging shots early, but were unable to find the back of the net in either frame.
SEU led 16-12 in shots and 6-5 in corners.
DYLAN ARMSTRONG led the attack with four shots while
GEORGE MURRAY,
ALEXANDER TEJEDA and
PARKER FYFE all added two.
WILLIAM TUFFIN recorded three saves on 12 shots faced to earn his second consecutive shutout, third on the year.
The Hilltoppers move to 3-3-1 on the year and 2-1-1 in conference play. They return to the road to face Rogers State on Thursday, September 27 at 7:30 pm.
