AUSTIN, Texas – St. Edward's scored two goals in the opening 16 minutes of action en route to a 2-0 win over Oklahoma Christian to remain unbeaten in Heartland play.
INDIA WENTZ started the scoring with a bending corner kick that found its way into the back of the net in the 13
th minute.
CHIDERA ARIRIGUZO came off the back line to score SEU's second goal, assisted by
ELIANNA CHAVEZ, in the 16
th minute.
The Hilltoppers were able to batten down the hatches defensively for the second half, holding Oklahoma Christian to just two shots.
St. Edward's led 24-3 in shots and 8-0 in corner kicks.
ANNABEL SWEENEY saved the only two shots she saw on the day to earn her fourth shutout of the season.
SEU improves to 4-2-1 on the year and 4-0 in conference play with the win. They return to action on Thursday, September 27
th at 5 pm to face Rogers State in Claremore, Okla.
