DALLAS, Texas – St. Edward's men's soccer and West Texas A&M met up for a non-conference, neutral-site contest that saw the Hilltoppers fall 1-0 Saturday evening.
After an even first half that saw each team get four shots off, WTAMU finally seized control of the match with a goal in the 67th minute of play. SEU got back to back shots off, searching for the equalizer, but WTAMU was in the right spot at the right time to keep the Hilltoppers off the board.
SEU had their chances at goal, taking a total of 11 shots with six on frame on the evening, but earned just one corner.
St. Edward's falls to 4-6-2 on the season and remain at 3-1-1 in Lone Star Conference play. They return to action on October 24, hosting a rematch with West Texas A&M at 2 pm.
