SAN ANTONIO – St. Edward's was unable to keep the magic going over the weekend as they dropped a 2-0 decision to St. Mary's to suffer their first conference loss of the season.
St. Edward's started strong, posting three corner kicks and two shots in the first 10 minutes of the contest. Just before the break the Rattlers were able to score the go-ahead and added another in the early parts of the second half to hand SEU the loss.
SEU falls to 2-5-1 on the year and 2-1 in the Lone Star Conference with the loss. They return home to face Lubbock Christian on Thursday at 2 p.m.
