SAN ANGELO, Texas – In the final regular season contest of the year the St. Edward's women's soccer team took their first loss of the year in the Lone Star Conference, falling 2-1 to Angelo State University.
 
SEU started attacking early and often, rocketing off five shots before ASU could manage one. The Hilltopper attack cooled with the temperatures and the game remained scoreless at the half.
 
As the second half got underway St. Edward's continued to attack, getting a pair of shots from ASHLEY WILSON, but it was Angelo State that got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 62^nd minute.
 
The Rams added an insurance goal in the 83^rd minute, putting the Hilltoppers in a 2-0 deficit with just seven minutes to play. BELLA CAMARATA, assisted by Wilson, cut ASU's lead to one, scoring in the 88^th minute, but the Hilltoppers were held without another good look at goal the remainder of the way to suffer the loss.
 
With the loss SEU drops to 11-5-2 on the season, 10-1-2 in the Lone Star Conference. They will end the regular season in second place and will host their first round contest of the LSC Championship on Tuesday, November 12.
