LUBBOCK, Texas – St. Edward's was held to just 13 first half points and were unable to make up ground, falling 72-44 to Lubbock Christian to close regular season play.
SEU was unable to find their groove early in the game, shooting 16 percent from the field with only one three-pointer in the first half. The Hilltoppers trailed 38-13 at the break.
St. Edward's could not put together the run they needed to make up the deficit as LCU maintained a comfortable lead the rest of the way.
LEXI CUNNINGHAM led with 15 points on 4-10 shooting from the field and 3-7 from three-point range.
SEU ends the regular season with a 15-13 overall record, 7-7 in Heartland Conference play. They will take the #5 seed into the conference tournament next week, facing #4 Rogers State on Friday, March 8 at noon.
