WICHITA FALLS – St. Edward's won its sixth consecutive match after capturing a 4-1 decision against MSU Denver on Thursday afternoon.
The Hilltoppers (7-3) picked up the doubles point and then earned three more in singles action to clinch the first match of the day.
MATEUS DE COL and
CHASE MOREHOUSE improved to 4-2 as a pairing with a 6-4 victory at the second flight.
CHASE BARTLETT and
ZAC ROBINSON teamed up to move to 3-1 on the year as a duo with a 6-1 win over Daniel Llorente and Kacey Walisundara at No. 3 doubles.
ANISH SRINIKETH earned his eighth consecutive victory on the singles courts, as the nation's 16th-ranked player rolled to a 6-2, 6-4 decision against Joey Tscherne at the top spot.
LUIS DIAZ, who is the 50th-ranked singles player in Division II, scored a 6-4, 6-4 win at the second position, while
LOGAN BUIGNET wrapped up the scoring with a 6-0, 6-1 win at the sixth flight.
St. Edward's will play Colorado Mesa at 3 p.m. to close out the day's action.
