COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fort Lewis scored with just four minutes remaining to hand St. Edward's a 3-2 loss Friday afternoon.
Fort Lewis struck first, scoring in the 30th minute and added one more right after halftime to take a 2-0 lead. PARKER FYFE, assisted by KIERAN FURSE, kicked off the scoring for the Hilltoppers in the 57th minute and tied the game on a penalty kick in the 71st minute.
Fort Lewis' Ryan Lee scored the game winner just before time expired to hand SEU the loss.
St. Edward's trailed 16-13 in shots but were an even 4-4 in saves and corners. Fyfe led with three shots, all on frame, while GEORGE MURRAY added two. MARKO LILIC posted four saves in goal.
SEU falls to 0-3 on the season and returns to action on Sunday, facing Colorado-Colorado Springs at 3:30 pm CT.
