OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – St. Edward's scored in four of the seven innings to earn a 9-5 win over CSU-Pueblo Friday. The win improves St. Edward's to 5-1 on the season.
 
SEU posted one run in the each of the first three innings to lead 3-0 early, but the Timberwolves tied the game 3-3 in the bottom of the third, taking advantage of an SEU error.
 
CSUP took the lead 5-3 in the fifth inning before the Hilltoppers unloaded for six runs on four hits in the top of the sixth. KYLIE MICA started the inning with a leadoff double, but SEU logged two outs before making their run. CAYLEI ALLEN's double drove in Mica for the first run and then a series of walks and hits followed by a 3 RBI homerun from KAROLINA RODRIGUEZ did all the work to put St. Edward's on top 9-5, allowing SEU to close out the win.
 
MORGAN LEWIS was the only Hilltopper to post two hits, going 2-4 from the plate. JULISA ORTEGA earned the win in the circle, allowing no runs on three hits with two strikeouts and one walk.
 
St. Edward's remains in Oklahoma City to face Fort Hays at 10 am and Colorado Christian at 2 pm on Saturday.
