AUSTIN – The 12th-ranked St. Edward's men's tennis team secured its seventh victory of the season, sweeping Laredo Community College on Saturday.
 
St. Edward's jumped out to a 1-0 lead after securing the doubles point with victories on courts 1 and 2. LUIS DIAZ and ZAC ROBINSON defeated Gonzalo Lojes and Adrian Martinez, 6-3, on the first line, and the 13th-ranked duo of ANISH SRINIKETH and CHASE BARTLETT took the top flight matchup, 6-3.
 
The Hilltpppers continued their fine form by sweeping singles play. Sriniketh, the fourth-ranked singles player, took down Mauricio Grijalva (6-2, 6-3) and GABRIEL ZUNIGA followed suit, securing his matchup with a 6-4, 6-2 victory. LUIS DIAZ defeated Gonzalo Lojes on court 5 and on court 6, PATRYK KOSINSKI took down Rodrigo Mere, 6-2, 7-6. ABHI RAMIREDDY secured his victory against Diego Orduz in a three set game. To complete the sweep on court 1, was the 24th-ranked singles player CHASE BARTLETT, who defeated Juan David Ramirez, 6-4, 7-6.
 
Another impressive performance helps the Hilltoppers improve to 7-1 on the season. SEU is next in action on Friday, March 6 in Midlothian against Southern Arkansas. First serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
