MIDLOTHIAN – The 12th-ranked St. Edward's men's tennis team secured another victory on the road, defeating Southern Arkansas 4-2 on Friday.

St. Edward's started on the back foot, dropping two of three doubles matchups to fall behind 1-0.
LUIS DIAZ and
ZAC ROBINSON were defeated on court 3, 7-5 and the 4th-ranked doubles duo of
ABHI RAMIREDDY and
JESSE WIKSO were narrowly beaten, 7-5. The only doubles victory for SEU was a closely contested match up between the 13th-ranked duo of
CHASE BARTLETT and
ANISH SRINIKETH, who took down Sofiane Bah and Stuart Rehfuss on the top line, 7-5.

LUIS DIAZ pulled one back for the Hilltoppers, securing his match against Raymond Marin, 6-3, 6-1.
ABHI RAMIREDDY was taken down at No. 5 singles, falling to Bah, 6-4, 6-2.
GABRIEL ZUNIGA equaled the playing field for SEU by defeating Alexandre Machaj on court 4, with
ANISH SRINIKETH following suit and securing his match in a three-set battle at No. 1 singles. The 24th-ranked singles player,
CHASE BARTLETT, secured the overall victory for the Hilltoppers in a thrilling three-set match against 15th-ranked Marko Nikoliuk, (2-6, 6-2, 6-4).

The Hilltoppers improve to 8-1 on the year with the win. SEU returns to action on Saturday in San Antonio, in a conference match against St. Mary's. First serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
