UT Tyler came out of the gate strong with a three of their own to open the game, but it didn't take long for the Hilltoppers to seize control as they hit four threes in just over three minutes. By five and a half minutes in, SEU had pushed their lead to double digits, 18-8, and went up by 20 with 9:20 to play in the first half. St. Edward's took a 21-point advantage, 57-36, into the locker room.
The Hilltoppers were never threatened in the second half, steadily building on their lead until the final buzzer.
It was the most balanced attack we have seen yet out of the Coach Andre Cook's squad, with five players scoring in double-figures and eight hitting a shot from deep.
LOGAN COOK led on the glass with a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Hilltoppers will get one day of rest before returning to the road for a rematch at UT Tyler. Game time is set for 7 pm.
