AUSTIN - St. Edward's women's basketball continues to defend their home court, allowing just six third quarter points on their way to a 69-50 win over Arlington Baptist Friday evening.
The Hilltoppers jumped out to a ten point lead, 12-2 in the first three minutes and didn't look back. SEU allowed just 12 first quarter points and 15 points in the second quarter to lead 40-27 at the break.
St. Edward's rocketed out of the gate and pushed their lead to 25 by the media timeout. The Hilltoppers held ABU to just one field goal in the entire quarter and led 58-33 heading into the fourth.
With a comfortable lead in hand, SEU continued their tough defense and fended off a desperate Patriot squad while closing out the win.

MORGAN GARY who netted 12 points on 4-8 shooting from the field.
BELLA MUSCOREIL added ten points and a game-high 12 rebounds to post her first double-double as a Hilltopper.
SAMMIE DUFEK racked up four blocks.
St. Edward's improves to 2-2 on the year. They hit the road following Thanksgiving, facing St. Leo on Saturday, November 27 at 2 pm Central Time.
