AUSTIN - After being held scoreless in game one, St. Edward's responded with a 3-0 win to secure a split against Texas Woman's Friday.
GAME 1: SEU 0 - TWU 4
The Pioneers used steady offense in game one to take a lead early and added to it throughout. SEU was held to just five baserunners in the first game.
MCKENNA LEAMON suffered the loss in the circle, allowing four runs, three earned on seven hits with seven strikeouts.

KAYLEE MCQUILLAN and
JORDAN NEELY all logged a hit.
GAME 2: SEU - TWU
St. Edward's was the first on the board as McQuillan punched a grounder through the right side to drive home
MORGAN ARCIA and
CHARLOTTE NUCCIO followed suit to bring home Neely with two outs. A pitching change kept the Hilltoppers from continuing the scoring spree.
Once again, SEU had the magic with two outs in the fifth with
ALEXIS MASSIE driving home Marrero-Carter, putting the Hilltoppers up 3-0. Starting pitcher
LAUREN JARESH and the SEU defense took care of the rest, holding TWU scoreless to secure the win.
Jaresh allowed just two hits with three walks and two strikeouts in the shutout win. Four Hilltoppers posted one hit each offensively.
St. Edward's improves to 4-6 on the year and 1-5 in Lone Star Conference play. They return to action on Sunday, facing Midwestern State for a doubleheader beginning at 1 pm.
