POMONA, Calif. – St. Edward's women's soccer landed their second win on the West Coast, downing Cal State Poly Pomona Sunday afternoon.
KATELYN SMITH scored the game winner in the 39
th minute and the Hilltopper defense took care of the rest.

CSUPP closed the half searching for the equalizer, firing off four shots in the final six minutes, but
ABBY CARLSON had the answer every time to keep the lead intact.
St. Edward's had limited opportunities in the second half but were able to turn up the heat defensively to secure the win.
The Hilltoppers had three corners while allowing four and Carlson posted six saves to earn her second win of the season.
St. Edward's improves to 2-2-1 on the year and return to action on September 25, opening Lone Star Conference action on the road at Midwestern State at 3 pm.
