SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The St. Edward's men's basketball team defeated St. Mary's 89-76 in their regular-season finale while shooting over 55 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range.

The Hilltoppers came out shooting to start the game as they shot over 58 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range. In the first half, the Hilltoppers hung 47 points on the Rattlers to give them a 47-35 lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, it was much of the same from the Hilltoppers as they scored 42 points in the half, shooting over 51 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range. 

The Hilltoppers were led by LSC offensive player of the week Uche Dibiamaka who put up 23 points and six rebounds in the win. Daniel Venzant added 14 points and seven assists. Mason Hix and Blake Nielsen added 16 and 15 points off the bench.  

The win brings the Hilltoppers regular-season record to 16-11 and 10-7 in Lone Star Conference play.
