OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma - The St. Edward's baseball team took game one of four against Oklahoma Christian 6-1 Saturday afternoon thanks to two home runs and a solid pitching performance.

After a scoreless first, Turner Olsen put the Hilltoppers on the board following his RBI single.

In the third, Stacey Bailey extended his 10-game hitting streak by blasting his seventh home run of the season, extending the Hilltoppers lead to 4-0.

In the fifth, Morgan Allen stole home for his ninth stolen base of the season to extend SEU's lead to 5-0.Â

In the sixth, Davis Drewek drilled a solo home run over the right-field wall to put the Hilltoppers up 6-0. Later in the inning, the Eagles drove in their first and only run of the game on a solo home run, bringing the score to 6-1.

Wesley Gafford pitched a complete game giving up just one run while striking out seven batters to earn his fifth win of the season.

The win brings the Hilltoppers record to 15-6 on the season. SEU is back in action Sunday for games two and three of their series against Oklahoma Christian. First pitch is scheduled for 1 pm.
