FRISCO, Texas - The St. Edward's men's basketball team fell to Lubbock Christian 58-56 in the Lone Star Conference tournament quarterfinals.

LCU came out strong in the first half as they held a 14 point lead with seven minutes left in the half. But in the final seven minutes of the half, the Hilltoppers went on an 18-6 run to cut the deficit to 34-32, entering halftime.

Lubbock Christian took an early lead at the start of the second half as an 11-4 run helped extend their lead to 45-36. However, every time it seemed like LCU was getting ready to put SEU away, the Hilltoppers kept knocking down shots and finding a way to stay in the game.

Although the Hilltoppers drained their final four shot attempts of the game, a last-second layup by Lubbock Christian gave LCU the slim 58-56 victory, sending them to the semifinals.

UCHE DIBIAMAKA led the Hilltoppers offensively with 19 points and four rebounds, while DANIEL VENZANT totaled 15 points, three rebounds, and seven assists. JAKE KRAFKA added 12 points and seven rebounds, while LOGAN COOK totaled 10 rebounds.
