AUSTIN, Texas - The St. Edward's softball team was swept in their series against #1 UT Tyler, 2-1 and 1-0.

Game One: UTT 2, SEU 1

Valerie Brant got the scoring started in the bottom of the first with an RBI single up the middle to give the Hilltoppers an early 1-0 lead.

After two scoreless innings, the Patriots tied the game at 1-1 on a bases-loaded walk. In the fifth, an error allowed the Patriots to take their first lead of the game at 2-1. 

McKenna Leamon pitched a complete game giving up one earned run on four hits while striking out three batters in the loss. 

Game Two: UTT 1, SEU 0

In game two, both starting pitchers were unhittable as both teams struggled to make solid contact.

After two scoreless innings, the Patriots scored the game's only run on an error.

Cadie Belle Currie pitched a complete game giving up one unearned run on three hits while striking out four batters. 

SEU is back in action Friday, April 22, in San Angelo as they take on Angelo State in a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 5 pm.
