SAN ANGELO, Texas – St. Edward's women's soccer team surrendered two goals in the first 10 minutes of a 2-0 loss to the Angelo State Rambelles.
Angelo State's Madison Maxey found Shaelyn Ward for the first goal in the sixth minute. Three minutes later, the Rambelles earned a corner. Sanai Stewart triggered the corner, scoring the goal herself for the 2-0 lead.
ANNIE ROCHA put St. Edward's first shot on goal in the 31st minute but was turned away by Angelo State goalie Amber Lockwood.
Angelo State finished with a 20-3 advantage in shots taken and 4-1 in corner kicks. St. Edward's goalie,
DARIA SCHLUMBOHM, finished with eight saves.
St. Edward's drops to 2-4-2 with an 0-2-1 conference record. The Hilltoppers will return home and host Texas Woman's University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
