RICHARDSON, Texas – The Lone Star Conference announced its LSC Men's Soccer Players of the Week for Week 5, naming St. Edward's
ARTHUR SOUZA as its Offensive Player.
Souza scored three goals over two conference matches, including two in St. Edward's 5-0 win over No. 12 Midwestern State, handing the Mustangs their first loss of the season. Souza scored the first goal in St. Edward's 2-2 draw against Lubbock Christian. He finished with five shots.
St. Edward's forward's six goals are the second-most in the conference this season. He also ranks second in shots on goal (14) and third in points (12) through eight games played.
The Hilltoppers are 3-3-2 with a 1-0-1 conference record. Men's soccer hosts Eastern New Mexico on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., then travel to San Antonio on Saturday to play St. Mary's.
