EDMOND, Okla. — St. Edward's volleyball traded punches all night but couldn't sustain its rhythm on the road, falling to Oklahoma Christian 3–1 (25–21, 25–19, 22–25, 25–23) Friday at the Eagles' Nest.

Each set followed a similar pattern — stretches of clean, composed execution met by brief, costly lapses that shifted momentum. The Hilltoppers hit .237 in the opening set and .300 in the third, showing flashes of offensive precision, but struggled to maintain consistency as the Eagles' defense tightened.

MIA CLAY was a steady presence at the net with 17 kills on .220 hitting, finding success on the pins and in transition. ADDY BADLEY added another Hilltopper in double-digit kills at 11, and CARRINGTON JAIMES added eight kills.

Setter ALTHEA MORRIS directed the attack with 46 assists and 12 digs, finding balance across rotations against Oklahoma Christian's heavy block. DELANEY GREGORY also contributed with seven kills, and GISELLE OJEDA anchored the defense with 17 serve receptions, 11 digs,  and four assists.

The Hilltoppers' best stretch came in the third set, when they hit .300 with 18 kills on 40 swings, keeping the Eagles out of system with well-placed serves from BEA ANGELES, Gregory, and Jaimes. Clay closed the set with a kill, helping St. Edward's extend the match.

Oklahoma Christian responded with an 18-kill fourth set and a balanced attack led by Annie Davis and Lauren Cary. The Eagles finished with 11 total blocks to the Hilltoppers' three, using their size advantage late to close out the match.

St. Edward's falls to 7-10 (4-8 LSC) and will look to bounce back in its next outing against Cameron on Saturday.
