St. Edward's Athletics announced its women's basketball team as its 2024-25 Topper True Award winners during Tuesday night's awards ceremony and end-of-year banquet, the Goatspy Awards. 
 
The Topper True Award recognizes those who not only demonstrate tremendous character, passion, and commitment to representing St. Ed's athletics but also make a significant impact by supporting and promoting a vibrant atmosphere for all teams on the Hilltop. The award is a testament to the team's dedication and influence within our community. 
 
Coaches nominated candidates, with a committee of administrators, coaches, and sports information staff selecting the winner. 
 
St. Edward's women's basketball team is among the most active groups on campus, attending and vocally supporting teams at most on-campus competitions, as well as cheering on students in non-athletic, on-campus events. 
 
The women's basketball team went above and beyond volunteering to staff the St. Edward's volleyball Hilltopper Classic to open the 2024 season. They also remained for the men's basketball home and away games, serving as the team's most vocal advocates in the stands, and showed up in full force for St. Edward's STUNT's home exhibition and historic first home game. In the spring, St. Edward's women's basketball team was a constant presence at baseball and softball home games, and can be seen on the highlight reels celebrating softball's two biggest walk-off home wins. 
 
MIKAH CHAPMAN shared the award last year with men's basketball's Gavino Ramos. This season marks the third consecutive year women's basketball has received the Topper True award.
