The Lone Star Conference revealed its 2025 Men's Soccer Preseason Poll, voted on by conference head coaches, sports information directors, and media members, ranking St. Edward's third.

ARTHUR SOUZA is the 205 LSC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, and the LSC also named defender
IRVIN ABARCA and goalkeeper
ANGEL RAMIREZ players to watch.
Souza earned All-Region and All-LSC First Team in his first season on the Hilltop, tying for second in the LSC with eight goals, including three game-winners, last season. He was also the conference's Academic Player of the Year.
Abarca is St. Edward's defensive player to watch after earning All-LSC Second Team last season, finishing second on the team with 1,452 minutes played and anchoring the conference's second-stingiest defense, recording six shutouts.
Ramirez played 12 games as the goalkeeper for St. Edward's, starting nine and recording a team-high 920 minutes in the net. He recorded three shutouts and two combined shutouts with a 0.796 save percentage.
St. Edward's posted an 8-6-4 record, including 5-2-3 in conference play, advancing to the semifinals of the LSC Tournament in the program's second year back.
The Hilltoppers open the season at home on September 4 against Delta State under the new lights at Lewis-Chen Family Field. Conference play begins on the road at Midwestern State on October 1. The LSC Tournament opens on Nov. 8, with quarterfinals hosted by the No. 3 and 4 seeds. The semifinals are on November 12, hosted by the top two seeds, and the title match is on November 15, hosted by the highest remaining seed.
