AUSTIN, Texas — St. Edward's volleyball refused to ease off the gas, pressuring Cameron with a balanced attacked augmented by an aggressive serve to get contributions throughout the roster to sweep Cameron 25-20, 25-12, 25-19 on Saturday.
The Hilltoppers hit .299 while holding the Aggies to .086, completing a three-match week without dropping a set. St. Edward's has won four consecutive matches and seven of its past eight, improving to 14-9 overall and 9-4 in Lone Star Conference play. The victory marked the Hilltoppers' ninth sweep of the season, their most since recording 10 during the fall 2021 campaign.
St. Edward's established an early advantage in the opening set and never trailed, leaning on its front-row defense to create separation.
GRACE MCDONALD and MIA CLAY set the tone by teaming for three blocks in the first set, including consecutive stops during a run that stretched an 11-9 lead to 18-11. McDonald also supplied four kills without an error, finishing the set with the kill that secured the 25-20 win.
The Hilltoppers found another gear in the second.

HEIDI TORGERSON finished the set with her first career kill, capping a frame in which St. Edward's produced 16 kills on .481 hitting while limiting Cameron to six kills and a .037 clip.
The Aggies stayed closer early in the third, but the Hilltoppers again found separation as their scoring options multiplied.
Baughman took over in the third with three kills to help St. Edward's move from a 6-5 deficit to a 10-9 lead, then served an ace during a run that stretched the advantage to 13-9. McDonald contributed two kills and joined Fording for a block as the Hilltoppers pulled away.
Fording put down six kills in the set and served three aces, including consecutive aces for a 22-13 lead. Torgerson added another kill, and Baughman delivered the final point to complete the sweep.
Fording led St. Edward's with 10 kills on .364 hitting and four service aces, producing all of her offense in the final two sets.
