AUSTIN, Texas — St. Edward's senior midfielder RILEY SISSON was named to the Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, announced Wednesday, recognizing her accomplishments in the classroom and on the field.

An accounting major from Austin, Texas, Sisson was one of 11 student-athletes selected by the conference's sports information directors. To qualify for consideration, nominees must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.

Sisson started all 18 matches for the Hilltoppers, finishing second on the team with four goals and nine points while adding an assist across 1,278 minutes.

Her biggest offensive performance came in St. Edward's 3-2 comeback victory at Lubbock Christian on Oct. 24. With the Hilltoppers trailing by two goals, Sisson started the rally with a first-half finish before converting the deciding penalty kick in the 72nd minute. The performance earned her LSC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Sisson also scored in the season-opening draw against Southwestern Oklahoma State and at Regis, and assisted the winning goal in St. Edward's 1-0 victory at UT Permian Basin.
