Four Years In, St. Edward’s Men’s Soccer Ready for Next Challenge with 2026 Slate

| By:
AUSTIN, Texas — Four years after returning to the pitch, St. Edward's men's soccer is ready for another step forward. The Hilltoppers unveiled a demanding 2026 schedule that challenges this iteration of the program's first four-year senior class with a slate worthy of a contender.

The season begins Aug. 27 under the bright lights at Lewis-Chen Family Field as St. Edward's hosts Texas A&M International in a non-conference matchup, looking for a fourth straight victory in the series.

From there, St. Edward's heads west to face No. 20 Cal State Dominguez Hills on Aug. 30, then opens September in Colorado for a South Central Regional matchup against Fort Lewis College on Sept. 3.

Head coach Brian Young and associate head coach Corey Miller invite former players and St. Edward's graduates to the pitch at Lewis-Chen Family Field for Alumni Night as the Hilltoppers host Cal Poly Pomona.

The evening kicks off a four-game homestand. Western Washington visits on Sept. 16 before nationally ranked No. 25 Seattle Pacific comes to Austin on Sept. 18. The stretch concludes Sept. 23 with a marquee LSC opener against defending national champion Midwestern State. The Hilltoppers have posted conference wins against the Mustangs the past two years, including last year's thrilling game-winning goal with six seconds remaining in Wichita Falls.

The road offers little relief. St. Edward's travels to Lubbock Christian in a rematch of last year's LSC first-round matchup on Sept. 26. The Hilltoppers return to host Sul Ross State on Sept. 30, then reignite the Battle of the Saints I-35 rivalry at St. Mary's in San Antonio on Oct. 3.

Texas A&M International returns to the Hilltop on Oct. 7, with conference points at stake. Exactly one week later, the Hilltoppers host Oklahoma Christian before a road swing through UT Tyler and UT Dallas on Oct. 17 and 21.

On Oct. 24, the Hilltoppers celebrate Senior Day against Dallas Baptist with a class that has been with the program every step of its return. SHUNJI WATANABE, ANGEL RAMIREZ, KALEO PEREZ-FRANCIS, HOLDEN RABB, DEAN ROGGENBAUER, MATTHEW DEVANEY, EASTON JONES, and TIMMY HOLLENBECK become the first players to spend all four collegiate seasons on the Hilltop since the program's reinstatement.

The regular season closes at West Texas A&M on Oct. 28, and the LSC Tournament begins on Oct. 31. All home games and conference contests are streamed on the FloCollege network, with live stats available through Stat Broadcast
