Junior (2015): Appeared in 41 games, while starting 40 of them…registered a .258 batting average with 32 hits and 11 RBI…led the team with nine sacrifice hits…second on the team with 80 defensive assists from her shortstop position…had a season-high four hits in a win over Texas A&M-Kingsville (2/10).

Sophomore (2014): Started all 59 games for the Hilltoppers at second base…finished the season with .216 batting average with a .251 on base percentage…registered 37 hits including a team leading five triples…went a perfect nine for nine in her stolen base attempts…ended the season with a .974 fielding percentage and only committed six errors the entire year.

Freshman (2013): Played in all 56 games while starting in 55 in her first season on the Hilltop…recorded a team best 61 hits in 177 at bats for a batting average of .345…her batting average was ranked second on the team…scored 30 runs during the season which was also ranked second on the team…tallied 17 RBI and recorded a .441 slugging percentage…had a .983 fielding percentage…tallied three hits and two RBI against TAMU-International (04/13/13)…again recorded three hits and two RBI against TAMU-International (05/03/13) at the Heartland Conference Tournament.

Prep: Played four years of varsity softball at Elgin High School…during her first year she was named freshman athlete of the year…in 2009 she won the academic all-district award and was the Elgin Softball Player of the Year…once again won the academic all-district award in 2010…named to the first-team all-district and all-Bastrop County Teams…won the academic all-district award for the third time in 2011…again named to the first-team all-district and all-Bastrop County Teams…helped lead her team to a district championship and they advanced to the regional quarterfinals her senior season, while being named first-team all-district and the offensive player of the year in the district…member of the National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes…was her class’ Salutatorian and was also named academic all-district all four years.

Personal: Kaci Leigh Olson was born on May 20, 1994…daughter of Kevin and Cindy Olson of Elgin, Texas…has two siblings: Colby (27) and Keagan Olson (16)…plans to study business at St. Edward’s…enjoys hunting, shopping, and hanging out with friends…her biggest athletic thrill is playing softball on ESPN during the Little League World Series.
