Lettered three years for head coach and father Brian Young at Kerrville Tivy High School…after averaging 21.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and three assists in his senior season was named first-team all-district, first-team all-region, and first-team all-area…also was named to the Chicken Express Al-Star Game after making 126 three-pointers and shooting 86.4 percent from the charity stripe…selected honorable mention all-district his sophomore and junior seasons…member of National Honor Society, first-team academic all-state, first-team academic all-district…also was a member of the Principals Team, President’s Award winner, and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Dillon James Young was born Oct. 22, 1997…son of Brian and Kendall Young…has two siblings: Matthew and Jackson…Father, Brian, played basketball at Texas Lutheran University … Grandfather, James Young, played collegiate basketball and football at Sam Houston State … Uncle, John Treka, played tennis at St. Edward’s … majoring in business entrepreneurship at St. Edward’s…enjoys being with family and friends, golf, tennis and vacationing…biggest athletic thrill was sweeping his rival (Boerne Champion) during his junior and senior season.
