Junior (2013): Appeared in 54 games while starting 49 in her third season for St. Edward’s…compiled a .322 batting average on 47 hits and 146 at-bats…blasted six home runs; good enough for second on the team…had a .486 slugging percentage; third best on the team…brought in 33 runs, just two behind teammate Ally Valdez…had a .988 fielding percentage…had three home runs in a doubleheader against Incarnate Word (02/15/13)…during the two games she scored three runs and had three RBI…recorded three hits and scored one run against #2 West Texas A&M (03/03/13).
 
Sophomore (2012): In her second season with the Hilltoppers she played in 39 games while starting 24…had 15 hits with four doubles and one homerun…brought in nine runs on the year…recorded a hit and three RBI’s against Panhandle State (03/24)…she added a homerun during the game.
 
Freshman (2011): Played in 37 games while starting 15 for the Hilltoppers…finished the year with 12 hits with one double…scored eight runs and brought in four additional…her best game came against Delta State (03/27) when she went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBI…one of her hits was a double during the game.
 
Prep: Played four years of high school softball at Splendora High School…during the her junior and senior seasons she earned a spot on the first-team all-district…in her junior season, she hit .390 during the regular season and .650 in the playoffs…during her senior season, she earned first-team all-state honors…her batting average for the season was .420…helped her team reach the regional quarterfinals for the 2008 and 2010 seasons.
 
Personal: Lauren Michelle Brode was born on July 15, 1992…daughter of Kim and Chris Brode of Splendora, Texas…has one sibling: Lynze (18)…currently studying kinesiology with career hopes of becoming a physical therapist…she enjoys watching the television show Friends…her biggest athletic thrill was hitting two home runs during her first two at-bats in her freshman season in high school.
