Junior (2014): Played in 58 games while starting 57 of them…finished the season with a .285 batting average and a .331 on base percentage…tied for fourth on the team with 43 hits including a .404 slugging percentage…second on the team with 11 doubles…her best game was against conference rival St. Mary’s where she went 3-for-3 with one run batted in and two doubles.
 
Sophomore (2013): Played in 36 games while making 11 starts in her second season with St. Edward’s…tallied 32 at bats for seven hits, tallying a .219 batting average…brought in four runs and was walked five times…saw time as pitcher making 14 appearances and six starts…finished the season with 3-2 overall record…pitched a total of 54.1 innings giving up 61 hits and walking 18 batters…struck out 17 batters…pitched five innings in relief against #22 Abilene Christian (02/02) at the St. Mary’s DII Collegiate Classic…against ACU, she scattered six hits, four of which never left the infield to help St. Edward’s to a dominating 8-0 win.
 
Freshman (2012): Made 17 appearances while starting 10 for the Hilltoppers during her first season as a pitcher…finished the year with a 2.56 ERA and an overall record of 8-3…pitched a total of 82.0 innings giving up 72 hits and striking out 29 batters…she picked up the victory in the NCAA Regionals versus nationally-ranked Missouri Western, allowing just one run on four hits in her complete-game effort…on the season she had a batting average of .236 while appearing in 35 games…had 13 hits with two doubles and a homerun…tallied six RBI and had a slugging percentage of .327.
 
Prep: Played her high school softball at Westwood High School…awarded the newcomer of the year and first-team all-district award her freshman season …was all-district honorable mention during her sophomore and junior seasons…won defensive player of the year and heart of a warrior award her junior season…helped her team with the district and bi-district championship her freshman season…repeated as the bi-district champs in her sophomore year…was a member of the academic all-district team all four years.
 
Personal: Emily Nicole Mayfield was born on Feb. 3, 1993…daughter of Vernon and Julie Mayfield of Austin, Texas…plans to study business administration at St. Edward’s with career hopes or pursuing a career in business management or marketing…her hobby is softball…her biggest athletic thrill is getting the chance to pitch the winning game at the Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Okla.
