2015-16 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in all 30 games, making three starts and amassing 454 minutes of action…averaged 5.1 points and 1.6 assists per game…led the team in three-point percentage (.458)…scored a season-high 14 points after making four three-pointers in a victory over UA Fort Smith (1/30)…had four games of double-digit scoring.
2014-15 (FRESHMAN):
Appeared in 24 games for a total of 138 minutes in his freshman year for St. Edward’s…scored 40 points on the year with 10 steals and nine assists…debuted in blue and gold against Colorado Christian (11/14/14)…exploded for 15 points and three assists against Panhandle State (1/22/15).
HIGH SCHOOL:
Lettered three seasons at Wakeland High School…was named to the all-district team all three seasons…he led the DFW Area in assists and three pointers made his senior season, when he also averaged 12.0 points, 5.0 assists, 3.0 steals, and 3.0 rebounds per contest…named the team captain all three seasons…he holds the school record for assists in a game (15) and a season (135).
PERSONAL:
Sean Sidney Watkins was born on May 22, 1996…son of Steve and Yolanda Watkins of Frisco, Texas…has one sibling: Steven …majoring in business finance with hopes of working in the banking and finance industry…enjoys hanging out with family and friends, and listening to music…his biggest athletic thrill is winning the MVP award at the Adidas Super 64 National AAU Tournament.
