Freshman (2011-12): In his first season at St. Edward’s, he had an overall singles record of 0-1…his only match of the season came against #3 Oklahoma Christian where he lost 0-6, 2-6.
 
Prep: Attended the AESA Prep Academy in Austin, Texas…was valedictorian and graduated magna cum laude.
 
Personal: Michael Anthony Garza was born on March 17, 1993…son of Rick and Barbara Garza…has two siblings Sean (30) and Adrian (19)…Adrian is Michael’s twin brother and currently on the men’s tennis team…currently studying biochemistry with hopes of becoming an anesthesiologist…enjoys playing the piano in his spare time.
