St. Edward's University Athletics

Junior (2015): Competed in five events for the Hilltoppers…finished as runner-up at the Texas Lutheran Invitational (9/5)…equaled best time (19:46) on two occasions: Our Lady of the Lake Invitational (9/12) and the Missouri Southern Stampede (9/19).
 
Prep: Attended the American School of Dubai...three-time athletic award winner...reached first place overall in track and field two times...won first place three-consecutive years...qualified for the honor roll.

Personal: Alya Salem was born on July 3, 1994...daughter of Mufeeda Nabulsi and Bassam Salem...has three siblings: Aysha (25), Ala (30), and Issa (19)...currently majoring in criminology at St. Edward's and planning to go into business...hobbies include: running and fitness...winning first place three years in a row is her biggest athletic thrill.
