Junior (2015): Competed in three events for the Hilltoppers…finished a season-best 77th at Our Lady of the Lake Invitational (9/12), in which she also ran her fastest time (23:30).
 
Prep: Attended Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, Texas…competed in cross country and track and field.
 
Personal: Ayanna Yarixa Edwards was born on November 7, 1995…daughter of Nancy Martinez…has five siblings: Amaurie, Aaliyah, Aleksei, Ajani, and Angenie…currently majoring in social work at St. Edward’s with plans to start her own practice…hobbies include: eating, running, and ministry…lists her greatest athletic thrill as seeing the outcome of hard work.
