• Appeared in 14 games in two starts with 440 minutes of action

2015 WINGATE (SOPHOMORE): Started all 20 matches for the Bulldogs who reached the NCAA Southeast Regional…helped lead a defense that finished 13^th in the nation with a 0.58 goals-against average…back line produced 10 shutouts on the season…Cherniuk scored her only goal of the season in a 5-0 victory over Coker College (9/7)…named second-team all-SAC and second-team all-region.
 
2014 WINGATE (FRESHMAN): Started all 20 matches for the Bulldogs during her freshman season…registered three assists while playing a big role in the league’s most dominant defense…Wingate allowed a league-low 11 goals in 2014, including just three goals in conference play…the Bulldogs piled up 12 shutouts on the season…had a streak of over 1,000 minutes without allowing a goal…Cherniuk had an assist in collegiate debut against USC Aiken…had an assist in 2-0 victory against Queens…assisted on lone goal in 1-0 win over Queens in SAC Tournament quarterfinals.
 
PREP: Lettered four seasons for head coach Frank Gagliardi at Jackson High School…member of the National Honor Society, A/B Honor Roll, President’s List, while graduating with honors.
 
PERSONAL: Mackenzie Arin Cherniuk was born Feb. 29, 1996…daughter of Michael and Jan Cherniuk…has two siblings: Haley (25) and Kaitlyn (22)…intends on majoring in kinesiology…enjoys wakeboarding and waterskiing…biggest athletic thrill was making the NCAA Tournament.
