AUSTIN, Texas - St. Edward's University Athletics is pleased to announce that six distinguished and decorated former student-athletes and staff have been selected to the 2016 Hall of Fame class and are to be inducted this Spring.
The 2016 Hall of Fame class includes Leticia Campos (Volleyball, 2000-03), Emily Kvinta (Women's Golf, 2005-10), Emma Lou Linn (Coach, 1974-85), Collin Mayer (Men's Golf, 2006-10), John Schneider (Baseball/Men's Basketball, 1960-64), and Shawn Weinstein (Men's Basketball (2005-08).
To be eligible for nomination, a letterman must have completed their eligibility five years prior to the election year, have outstanding athletic and academic credentials, and have received numerous postseason honors.
The induction for the 2016 class is scheduled for Saturday, February 20th, during halftime of the St. Edward's Men's Basketball game versus Oklahoma Panhandle (approximate time-3:45 p.m.) at the Recreation and Convocation Center on the SEU campus. This will also coincide with the 2016 St. Edward's Homecoming Weekend. Below is snapshot of the career of the six inductees:
