St. Edward's freshman TONI TEWES was named Heartland Conference Offensive Player of the Week Monday by the League office.
 
Tewes made her collegiate debut with the Hilltoppers a memorable one. The freshman from Germany assisted on the first goal of the game, and then followed with two goals of her own in St. Edward's 5-0 victory over New Mexico Highlands. St. Edward's, ranked 14th in the country, starts the season off 1-0.
 
Even with all of the success the Hilltopper squad has had, this is the first conference offensive award they have won since 2014.
