DALLAS, Texas - St. Edward's golfer Dillon Van Essen was named Heartland Conference Player of the Week on Wednesday afternoon by the League Office. This was Van Essen's second award this season and third of his career.

Van Essen led the Hilltoppers to the team championship at the Rattler Invitational in San Antonio, Texas this week. He put together three impressive rounds, which included a 67, 72, and 71 for a total of 210. Van Essen's individual play led him to a third place individual finish in a tournament that had over 80 competitors.
