Box Score CANYON, Texas - The St. Edward's men's soccer team dropped its second-straight match, falling to 16th-ranked West Texas A&M Friday afternoon at The Pitch. West Texas A&M (9-1-1) attacked the goal early and sent five shots at the Hilltopper net in the first 15 minutes. St. Edward's goalkeeper Matt Moore made two clutch saves and West Texas A&M's Ben Everson hit the crossbar during that span. In the 18th minute, Victor Olivares' shot found the back of the net and put the Buffaloes ahead, 1-0. West Texas A&M would strike again in the 26th minute when Jacob Fynboe Jensen would score from 16 yards out after Moore made the initial save, but Jensen was there for the rebound to put the Buffaloes ahead, 2-0. St. Edward's (0-5-2) would look to get back in the match as they sent three shots on goal in the final 10 minutes of the first half but came up empty as West Texas A&M took a 2-0 lead at the break. In the second half, the Buffaloes put the game out of reach in the 57th minute when Ben Everson placed a one-timer past Hilltopper goalkeeper Mitchell McKeefer for a 3-0 West Texas A&M lead. West Texas A&M outshot St. Edward's, 18-9 and placed nine shots on goal compared to four shots on goal for the Hilltoppers.
