Box Score AUSTIN, Texas – The St. Edward's men's soccer team had a tough 3-0 loss against West Texas A&M Thursday afternoon at Lewis-Chen Family Field.
St. Edward's (3-5) played a tough match against West Texas A&M (2-5). For the first half both teams fought hard working the ball around the pitch.
In the last five seconds of the first half the Buffalos, Conrad Gouldbourne, got in between the Hilltopper defense getting a header, during a free kick by Aidan Hamman. His header found the back of the net, making the match 1-0, in favor of the Buffalos.
In the second half, the Hilltoppers started off strong with multiple runs creating many opportunities for themselves but were unable to find the back of the Buffalos net.
In the 61st minute, Buffalo midfielder, Lukas Garcia, would score off of a rebounded deflection from a Hilltopper defender.
Ten minutes later, in the 71st minute, the Buffalos would again find the Hilltopper net when Rodrigo Morin scored off of a deflected corner kick by Garcia.
