Box Score SAN ANGELO, Texas – The St. Edward's volleyball team saw its two-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of #17 Angelo State Wednesday evening. The RamBelles defeated the Hilltoppers in straight sets, 25-13, 25-17, 25-14, at the Junell Center.
Angelo State (18-6) had its players hitting on all cylinders Wednesday evening as the team hit .319 and held St. Edward's (9-14) to a .061 hitting percentage.
Both
HANNAH RAUCH and
MARY KOEHLER led the team with eight kills each in the defeat.
LOREN KELLY led the Hilltoppers with 11 assists and
KELLY JIMENEZ added 15 digs from her libero position.
St. Edward's will continue on its three-game road trip with a Thursday night Heartland Conference matchup at Panhandle State in Goodwell, Okla. First-serve is set for 7 p.m. at Oscar Williams Field House. They will wrap up the trip with a noon matchup versus Newman in Wichita, Kan.
