AUSTIN, Texas – St. Edward's University Volleyball (7-20) returned home on Thursday for its final two games of the year, but fell in three sets to the Lady Buffalos of West Texas A&M (15-16).
A total of 12 Toppers registered kills in the match, and a spirited effort from
TABITHA ELDER produced a pair of block assists and one solo denial.
MORGAN BECKHAM played the first two sets at libero and came up with 15 digs, but moved to hitter in the final set and collected a pair of kills as well. A six-kill effort from Katie Hendrix was capped off by an attacking percentage of .333.
In game one the Lady Buffs cruised to a 25-18 win behind a blazing hitting percentage of .452. Game two found the Hilltopper offense struggling as seven errors on the attack doomed the home team to a 25-15 loss.
St. Edward's had it's best performance of the night in game three, hitting .297 for the set and challenging West Texas A&M for each point. However, it was not meant to be as the Toppers fell, 25-18.
